My EPIC Solo Adventure – February Update

Things are certainly starting to heat up – and I don’t mean outside! If one thing is keeping me warm through this chilly Canadian winter it’s planning for My EPIC Solo Adventure.  I’m excited to say that the end of January saw the beginning of my countdown – it’s now less than 3 months till take off!  Like every month many things keep changing but now I’m happy to say my plans are shaping up. I’ve booked my accommodations for the first month of my solo Europe adventure.  This time I’ve decided to try booking with Hotels.com for a few different reasons; I like their pay when you stay option, competitive rates and reward program that is like a virtual stamp card – stay 10 nights get one free!  With over 2 months worth of accommodation to book that’s going to add up!

Over the past month I’ve also been featured in not one but two travel bloggers lists; Travel Pulse’s Top 15 Travel Bloggers to Follow in 2015 and Trekeffect’s Top 50 Travel Blogs to Follow.  To say I’m honoured and thankful is an understatement. To be recognized by my fellow travel bloggers and named among some amazing talents I am humbled and it truly inspires me to keep reaching for the skies. Like they say… “when you reach for the sky you end up among the stars.”

I’m really getting excited to explore new cities, new neighbourhoods and new bookshops!  I’m a huge book junkie, in case you didn’t know, and love exploring small, quaint, and historic bookshops wherever I go.  I was pleasantly surprised by the great bookshops I found on the US West Coast last spring and look forward to finding more this year in the UK and Europe!

This month I’m sharing my Top 5 Bookshops I’m Most Excited to Explore

  1. Shakespeare & Co. in Paris, France
  2. Libreria Aqcua Alta in Venice, Italy
  3. Daunt Books in London, England
    4. Livraria Bertrand in Lisbon, Portugal
  4. Mr. B’s Emporium of Reading Delights in Bath, England

Do you have a favourite bookshop in the UK or Europe you think I should check out?

I'm a Canadian gal with a passion for wildlife, the great outdoors and travel and hope to inspire others to feel the same way! Travelling mostly solo I love to explore Ontario Gems in my own backyard as well as exotic cities around the world.
