Top Instagram Shots from My Solo Adventure
It might be difficult returning home after 3 months of travel, especially solo travel but one thing that always lights me up and brings all those amazing memories and feelings come rushing back to me is looking over my photos. Oh, and there are SO many! So, I though what better way to start off my tales and discoveries of my Epic Solo Adventure that took me around the UK and from one side of Europe to the other, than to share my top Instagram shots from my solo adventure.
View from the window seat
There is no place I’d rather be on a plane than in the window seat! This photo was taken on my way from Berlin to Prague on a small Etihad Regional plane with propeller engines, my first time being on such a plane.
Had a fantastic tour of the Old Town Hall with @prague.eu and an quickly falling in love with this wonderful city!! A photo posted by Stephanie Mayo (@ladyofthezoos) on
Prague Town Hall
I immediately fell in love with Prague as soon as I set foot on it’s charming streets! This photo was taken just before heading in to their Old Town Hall for a private tour of the stunning buildings that make up their Town Hall.
York was yet another city I immediately fell in love with and on my first wander through the old city walls and to York Minster this photo was my first glimpse of this grand cathedral.
My love for antiques and desire to explore more of London’s unique neighborhoods brought me to Portobello Road in Notting Hill. Home to tons of antique shops, street vendors and markets throughout the week and some of the most beautifully colours buildings in London. How can you not smile when you see such colours?
The pink flower
I was amazed by the sheer size and wealth of beauty that I found during my visit to Kew Gardens. Full of beautiful flowers, like this pink flower, historic buildings, wonderful landscapes of woodlands, lakes and so much more! I spent the whole day there and still didn’t see and do everything!
I was drawn to Cinque Terre, Italy for many reasons, the colourful buildings, the charming small villages (a nice break from all the big cities I was visiting) and to hike the trails. It was a long, hot, humid and tiring day but I hiked from Monterosso to Vernazza and I was rewarded with some of the most picturesque views I have ever seen and this photo was my first glimpse of Vernazza from up above on the trails.
Cinque Terre sunset
And not surprisingly this photo of the sunset in Cinque Terre’s Riomaggiore was my most liked photo during my Epic Solo Adventure! Riomaggiore was the most serene, relaxed, charming and most picturesque place I’ve ever been (even with the tourists by day). It was also the first time I’d ever felt right at home in a foreign place, with my favourite café, laundry mat, and favourite spot to watch the sun set on another amazing day.
