Grab a Treat from Pascal Le Boulanger

I’m always on the hunt for bakeries on my travels and was in awe as soon as I walked in to Pascal Le Boulanger in Saint-Sauveur.

There were shelves lined with colourful baked goods and desserts. From cakes to giant cookies, I wanted one of everything in the store. As my friend and I made our way through the line, it turns out everyone else was in awe too!

We ordered a few of their famous croissants. As it turns out, Pascal Le Boulanger won the Baking Cup of Canada’s best croissant in 2025. After biting into one, and I can see (and taste!) why!

I also grabbed a bag of their coffee to enjoy at home. It’s SO GOOD!

Visit the Saint-Sauveur Church

This beautiful church is a must-visit in Saint-Sauveur! I loved the contrasting bright red doors against the pale limestone building.

Completed in 1905, it was built with stones from Montreal and its three bells were imported from Normandy. It’s also one of the stops on La Route des Belles-Histories, a charming road trip through the Laurentians.

The grounds are lovely, and I loved the repurposed old ski chairs that are now benches to sit on and soak in the church’s beauty.

Browse the Shops

The charming downtown is filled with a wide array of shops to browse. Most of which are along Rue Principale. I loved that many look like they are in converted old little homes.

There are a number of women’s clothing boutiques, galleries and other fun stores. One of my favourite shops in Saint-Sauveur is Librairie Quintessence. It’s a book shop with a bit of a metaphysical vibe, with incense and other unique items.

If you love Christmas, pop into Click Noël. It’s a whimsical holiday and home decor shop. And for some sweet treats, stop in at Bonbons Et Cie, for all your candy desires.

Enjoy a Bite to Eat

I was surprised by the number of different restaurants in Saint-Sauveur. There is everything from pub fare to Italian, Mexican and modern French cuisine. Something for everyone’s appetite.

I opted to eat at Restaurant Le Saint Sau Pub Gourmand. My friend and I were craving pub fare and loved their ideal location. It’s right on the main street, and has a great patio that’s perfect for people watching.

Their menu has something for everyone, from small plates to burgers as well as fish and salads. I went with their famous poutine, which had a light sauce and the perfect amount of cheese curds. My friend ordered the fish and chips.

Grab a Coffee

Whether you want to grab a coffee when you first arrive or for the road to your next destination, there are a few cute coffee shops in Saint-Sauveur.

After I grabbed the croissants, I was craving a coffee and there’s a great one on the same street, across the road. It’s Café White Et Compagnie.

I love that it has a spacious interior that has a modern, yet cozy vibe. With plenty of seating, various caffeinated beverages as well as baked goods, you can dine in or take out. I grabbed a Chai latte to go, but if I was staying, I would have chosen the adorable little side patio that felt like a secret garden.
