Ragged Falls
It’s no surprise that my favourite of Muskoka’s waterfalls was voted one of the best in Ontario. Located in Oxtongue River Ragged Falls Provincial Park east of Huntsville. From the parking area it’s only a 1 kilometre hike to this epic cascade waterfall.
There are many viewpoints of Ragged Falls. You can hike to the bottom for a view of the bottom of the falls and river or take the trail to the top for an up-close view.

High Falls
This 50 foot high falls is easily one of my favourite waterfalls in Muskoka. High Falls is one of 3 waterfalls found in Bracebridge. Incredibly there are actually 5 waterfalls on this site including Pott’s Falls, Muskoka Canyon Falls, Little High Falls, Big High Falls and another that is man-made. Another fun fact is the trail system leading to High Falls is part of the Trans-Canada Trail.

Rosseau Falls
Located off of Highway 141, just east of Rosseau, you’ll find Rosseau Falls. There are two waterfalls, the upper and lower, that descend over the rocky Canadian Shield into Lake Rosseau.
The upper falls are on the south side of the highway. The lower falls are off of Rosseau Lake Road 3 below the bridge. This stunning section of waterfall is nearly a hidden gem in Muskoka!
Please note that Rosseau Lake Road 3 is a narrow, windy, dirt road.

Bala Falls
Bala Falls is another waterfall right in the heart of town. Located in Bala, the Cranberry Capital of Canada, the falls can be accessed via a small park alongside. Scramble over the rocks of the Canadian Shield to get a grand view.
**Please Note: Sadly, as of April 2018, plans to construct a major hydroelectric development are going forward on this site. This falls won’t be the same. **
Skeleton Falls
Don’t let the name of this waterfall scare you off, though the crazy amount of mosquitos may. Skeleton Falls, also known as Minnehaha Falls, is located on the Skeleton River along Highway 141. The falls can be accessed by descending into the gorge on the north side of the road and following the rough trail to the falls.
