A surprising and unique Christmas store in Ontario is best known for its Fall Festival and Instagrammable umbrella installations. That place is Sandhill Nursery. This garden centre has been serving the Huntsville area for over 20 years.
I was blown away by the wealth of magical holiday décor at Sandhill Nursery! In addition to their main storeroom, they also have a number of greenhouses with discounted Christmas items. You’ll find everything from ornaments to holiday greenery like garland to dress up your home for the holidays.
The best spot is their Christmas cabin that is like stepping into a real-life Christmas Hallmark movie! This cozy cabin has everything from Santa Claus and snowman figures to lantern with twinkling lights and dreamy red wreaths.

Just Christmas
The oldest year-round Christmas store in Canada is in Ontario! It’s no surprise that it’s in one of the best Christmas towns in the province, Niagara on the Lake.
Just Christmas has been a favourite shop for visitors for over 30 years. One of the top things to do in Niagara-on-the-Lake is stroll its historic downtown, where you’ll find the store. You can’t miss the green building with its red accents.
Inside you’ll find over 5000 Christmas items that range from home décor, like gingerbread men stuffies, to holiday-themed art work. They are best known for their diverse selection of ornaments that you can get customized by on-site artists. The best part is that its free to customize and is done while you wait!

Tinseltown Christmas Emporium
One of the most famous Christmas stores in Ontario that is open year-round is Tinseltown Christmas Emporium in Ottawa. Located around the corner from one of my favourite coffee shops in Ottawa, in the heart of the Hintonburg neighbourhood, this store is a must visit.
The exterior of the store is painted red and dressed for the holidays all year long! Inside you’ll find a dreamy assortment of holiday décor and ornaments. I love their festive body care products with seasonal scents.
They also have advent calendars, snow globes and life-sized reindeer. But they are known for their stunning blown glass ornaments that are imported from Germany.

The Merry Christmas Shoppe
Set in one of the most picturesque small towns in Ontario is another dreamy shop to add to your list. The Merry Christmas Shoppe in Merrikville is an awesome place to soak in the holiday spirit any time of year.
Covering two floors and packed full of Christmas items, it’s said to be the largest Christmas shop in the Ottawa area that’s open year-round.
I was surprised by how much they’ve packed into this store. They have walls overflowing with ornaments for your tree that range from movie-inspired to hobby ones. Even the floor below is lined with boxed ornaments, snowmen figurines, and more goodies.
The shop also has a large selection of snow globes and nutcrackers. And if Nightmare Before Christmas is more your style, they have plenty of figurines, home décor and more.

Georgian Christmas
Another famous year-round holiday shop in Ontario is Georgian Christmas in the heart of Blue Mountain Village. This festive shop will immediately put you in the holiday spirit as soon as you see it. I love that it’s decorated with garland around each of the windows and big red bows during the holidays.
Georgian Christmas is a large store that has some of the best holiday displays of any store I’ve visited. Throughout the store you’ll find seasonal home décor, ornaments, and festive figurines. I also love their selection of seasonal accessories like scarves, toques and cozy gloves.

Evergreen Store at Drysdale’s Tree Farm
One of my favourite Christmas stores near me is at Drysdale’s Tree Farm. This 4th generation farm, established in 1945, is one of the best Christmas tree farms in Ontario!
Inside their beautiful farmhouse building you’ll find their Evergreen Store, which is said to be the largest home and holiday gift store in Canada! I love all of the local products, ranging from food to artisan items, for sale within.
It’s also a great place to find fun and unique holiday ornaments that make great gifts for family and friends. They have ones geared to those who love golf, skating, birds, or nearly everything you can think of. The have a selection of nutcrackers, stockings, wreaths and other unique holiday décor.
Insider tips: You might recognize this farm as it has been the setting for Hallmark movies! And they run one of the best free Christmas Markets every November.

Christmas Tyme
There’s another Christmas store in Huntsville, Christmas Tyme. One of my favourite things to do in Huntsville is browse the downtown shops. There’s everything from one of the best chocolate shops to a great bookstore.
Christmas Tyme has been a staple among the downtown shops for nearly 30 years. I always love checking out their impressive Christmas displays each year and browsing the shop to classic holiday tunes.
They sell a variety of holiday home décor items and unique gifts. Plus, you’ll find thousands of Christmas ornaments, like their popular glass bulbs that you can get customized with a name hand painted on it.

The Christmas Villager & Country Gifts
Coldwater is one of my favourite places to visit in the fall! But no matter when you visit, be sure to pop into the Christmas Villager! This fun seasonal shop is full of fun gift ideas, from Lego sets to unique kid’s toys.
The Christmas Villager also sells a wide array of holiday décor like gingerbread houses, snow globes and musical trains. You’ll also find ornaments, stockings, and table top Christmas trees. I love their lanterns that have adorable holiday vignettes inside!
Insider tip: There are a number of cute shops and places to visit in Coldwater, but make sure to check opening times before you go as many shops close early.

Dutch Mill Country Market
Hidden at the back of one of the many markets in the Hamilton area is a dreamy room full of Christmas! That market is the Dutch Mill Country Market in Dundas.
This year-round market has a ton to offer visitors. There’s a large garden centre and open air market packed with locally grown produce. You’ll also find a variety of home décor, furniture, bath products, jewellery, and so much more set across two floors.
I was charmed when I spotted the sign above the entrance to the Christmas room, reading Hall for All Seasons. Inside was a number of life-sized figures of Santa and Mrs. Claus, towering Christmas trees, and walls lined with festive ornaments.
Insider tip: They have a lovely Tea Room where you can grab a bite to eat and spot of tea to enjoy during your visit.

The Bearded Baristas – One fun shop that I haven’t visited yet but is one my list is The Bearded Baristas. It has everything I love as it’s a coffee shop and year round Christmas shop in one. Located in the small town of Rockwood, it has festive vibes, seasonal gift ideas and drinks as well as tasty baked goods.
RetroFestive – If you’re a Christmas movie buff then plan a visit to RetroFestive in Oakville. It originally started as the Canadian Leg Lamp Company out of a love for the A Christmas Story movie, it has everything from ugly Christmas sweaters to unique pop culture items. It features all sorts of fun movie memorabilia that make fun gift ideas, like moose mugs from National Lampoons Christmas Vacation.
The Snowman Factory – A fun Christmas store in the GTA is The Snowman Factory in Woodbridge. This shop has fantastic displays and fun seasonal items and décor. And during the holiday season its full-on Christmas!
