One of the most colourful Airbnbs in Hamilton I’ve stayed in is the Emerald Studio! This cute little studio space is perfect for a romantic getaway in the city.
Inside the walls and much of the furniture and décor is a dreamy emerald green colour and the statement is bold. I loved the attention to detail with the addition of the twinkling lights, extra comfy bedding, and gold accent pieces.
It has a comfortable bed, cozy couch, small kitchenette and bathroom with shower. We had everything we needed to relax after a day of exploring.
Plus, accrss the street is an adorable coffee shop that’s the ideal spot for breakfast. At night, you can indulge in a movie at the retro theatre that’s also across the street.
Insider tip: Most of the nearby restaurants are busy on weekends, so be sure to reserve a table in advance. A fun one is Maipai, a Tiki bar with epic pizzas!

Raðljóst: Log Cabin in the Woods
A dreamy log cabin in the woods is the perfect escape! No matter if it’s in the heat of summer or under a blanket of snow this Log Cabin in the Woods in Katrine is an ideal place for a solo retreat, couples romantic getaway, or girlfriend adventure weekend. Named Raðljóst, an Icelandic term for ‘place where there is just enough light to see’, this cozy log cabin is from the 1850s and oozes charm. It’s great for outdoor adventurers!
The Raðljóst has a sleeping loft, an open concept living room with a cook station, and a fireplace. The cabin is also full of fun games, puzzles, and books to entertain you while you put down the mobile phone for a while. A few things to note are there is no running water but there is a place to pee inside, so you’re not totally going pioneer, with their luggable loo, which is a portable toilet.

You’re also only 20 minutes from Huntsville! And there are a ton of fun things to do in Huntsville, including more hiking trails, tasty restaurants, and the Group of Seven Outdoor Gallery. Another nearby park is Arrowhead Provincial Park, home to more great trails, a waterfall, and even a skate trail in the winter.

Historic Downtown Port Hope Airbnb
Port Hope is one of the most beautiful small towns in Ontario! Set along the shores of Lake Ontario, it has a scenic river running through it and the best-preserved main street in the province! Downtown you’ll find one of dreamiest Airbnbs in Ontario!
The building was built in the late 1800s but has been masterfully restored by a local couple. The vibe is moody and eclectic with nods of old-world charm. It has a large modern bathroom, fully equipped kitchen that includes a Nespresso with pods lined up for you, a massive living and dining room, and two bedrooms.
One of the most incredible features of the Airbnb is a massive library way! It’s filled with old books, quirky pieces, and even a sliding ladder! Other notable attributes include a rooftop patio and epic 90” drop down projector screen!
Along with exposed brick, done in a very artful way I might add, the apartment also has its original floors. However, one of the things (other than the library wall – book nerd here!) that stood out was the expert attention to detail. Plus, with owner’s passion for supporting local, many of the pieces and supplies found in and used in creating the space are from local businesses.
Dare I say, this is the most Instagrammable Airbnb in Ontario!

Perched on a hill in Northumberland County sits a fire engine red tower that’s a fun place to stay for those looking for a tiny house experience. Located in the small town of Whitney, on the edge of Algonquin Park Provincial Park and the Madawaska River, is Camp Bongopix. There are five retro cabins on site and this one is full of wood paneling, a VCR, a mini boombox with 80s cassettes, and even a Super Nintendo! If you’re looking for a fun and outdoorsy weekend getaway then the Hyrule Retro Cabin is exactly what Dr. Dre ordered!
If you’re looking for a cozy cabin in the woods this is a fun take on that. Each cabin comes with a full kitchen with a stove, fridge, coffee maker, as well as pans and utensils. Bedding and towels are also provided but be advised there is NO WIFI. Another great bonus is you can canoe right into Algonquin Park from their dock. Canoe, life jackets, and paddles are also provided. Another thing to be aware of is this is an adults-only camp but it is dog friendly.
